I hope everyone is well and wishing for spring as much as I am! There are has been some response received so far on our next work weekend, there is just one thing missing YOU.
Over the last two years there has been a push to develop regular work/reunion days for the alumni. This has provided a wonderful opportunity to get away for the weekend, visit with old friends, and do something positive to help camp. I think that we have accomplished this to a certain extent. The work that we are able to accomplish in a single day is a massive help to Bob Kolbe and Jamie Miller. Some of the tasks may seem small, but they are the things that need to be done. It has been a wonderful experience to be able to give back to camp.
We have secured Leighton Lodge to stay in for the weekend. You may arrive at camp the evening of 4-4-08. There are no formal activities scheduled for that evening. Those of us that have come up on Friday usually go out to eat. Camp will provide breakfast and lunch on 4-5-08. We usually work till about 5pm and call it a day. We have gone out to dinner as a group in the past. We will depart camp on 4-6-08. If you wish to stay for the day and undertake a new task you are more than welcome. I will be at camp early on 4-4-08 to work at the rifle range for the day, so if you would like to come up and work on 4-4-08 that is possible as well.
Bob Kolbe has made some crazy offer to pay someone money if they are able to cut and or split more wood than he is. I think I have put together a team to rival him and take his money. Maybe you should do the same.
