Over the weekend of January 25th thru Janurary 27th, Camp Eberhart had over 150 YMCA Indian Princesses and their Dads from the Prairie Trails Federation, on property to enjoy a wintry weekend full of activities! The Dads and Daughters had many outdoor activities to choose from such as cross country skiing, ice-skating on Corey Lake, pony rides and tubing on the snow packed hill. Along with many other tribal activities, the weekend was a huge success and Camp Eberhart looks forward to having them back in the future.

For an idea of some of the classes offered, check out our class guide. Much of our curriculum is teamwork and education-based, but we can always find a little time for recreational activities such as Canoeing or Archery.

The Environmental Outdoor Education program is at its busiest in Spring and Fall, but over the past few years, both Spring and Fall have extended so far that we have added Winter Environmental Outdoor Education to our year. Schools are already signing up for our new classes which include Winter Tracking, Snow Ecology, Frozen Lake Exploration and Snow-shoeing and Snowmound-building.

If you know of any schools or teachers in the Michiana (Northern Indiana/Southern Michigan) area whose students would benefit from this program, please call Camp Eberhart (888.YCAMPEB or 269.244.5125) to request our Teacher's Handbook.
